Punta Cana International Airport opened its new VIP lounge with amenities like no other. The crown jewel of the new space includes an infinity pool overlooking the airstrip. The lounge also features pool-related amenities, such as toiletries and towels. In addition to the infinity pool and terrace overlooking the airport’s runway, the lounge will have hospitality rooms with showers and changing areas.
The VIP lounge will be available to owners at Puntacana Resort & Club; passengers who purchase the VIP service, Priority Pass or Dragon Pass Lounge Pass; and lounge key card holders; as well as first- and business-class passengers.
The price of the VIP service, plus access to the lounge, is $120 for one person and $100 each for groups of three or more people. For airlines with which the Punta Cana International Airport established alliances, or with walk-in access to the lounge, the cost is $50 per person.
Punta Cana International Airport is now one of the largest airports in the Caribbean, managing 7 million arrivals in 2016. The airport will also add U.S. Preclearance this year, making it the fifth destination in the Caribbean to do so.

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
