London City Airport opened a new business lounge March 20. The lounge is located in a new area of the airport’s Private Jet Centre and is a five-minute drive from the main terminal. Guests are offered a complimentary taxi shuttle to and from.
For a fee of £35 per person, passengers of any airline have access to the lounge’s buffet of cold dishes, snacks and alcoholic beverages.
The lounge is outfitted with hand-made furniture, a flat-screen TV, numerous charging points and free WiFi. It can hold 30 passengers.
“Our priority is our passengers and the team will always go the extra mile to ensure they have what they need to keep their airport experience memorable and stress-free,” said Chris Clayton, Private Jet Centre customer service manager, London City Airport.
Passengers must check any hold luggage before entering the lounge, where they will need their boarding pass to gain access. They must allow a minimum of 30 minutes to return to the terminal via taxi transfer and pass through security.
Last year, 52 percent of London City’s 4.5 million passengers were traveling for business.
