Princess Cruises celebrates 50 years of travel to Alaska with its largest deployment ever, including the debut of Royal Princess, in 2019. Cruises for the 2019 season go on sale tomorrow.
Seven Princess Cruises ships are set to sail to Alaska in 2019, and more than three-fourths sail to Glacier Bay National Park. More than 23 cruise tours are offered through Princess Wilderness Lodges and Denali National Park. Additionally, the 2019 program features an exclusive treehouse experience at Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge.
“Our upcoming 2019 Alaska season marks our 50th year taking guests to this bucket-list destination, that for most is a life-changing experience offering breathtaking scenery and awe-inspiring moments,” said Jan Swartz, president, Princess Cruises. “In 1969, Princess Italia was our first ship to bring 525 passengers to Alaska. In 2019, we will mark another milestone by bringing Royal Princess, our largest ship ever deployed to this region, with more than 3,500 guests.”
Alaska cruises in 2019 include the Voyage of the Glaciers itinerary, sailing between Vancouver and Whittier, with two glacier-viewing experiences and visits to Glacier Bay National Park over seven days. Inside Passage cruises are offered over seven-, 10- and 12-day itineraries departing from Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
The 23 cruise tours available in 2019 combine a seven-day Voyage of the Glaciers cruise with a three- to eight-night stay at Princess Wilderness Lodges.
Princess guests with elite Captain’s Circle status can secure a booking one day early, Dec. 13. All passengers in North America, Asia and Australia enjoy 50 percent off 2019 voyage deposits through April 30, 2018.
