Hyatt will bring another of its hotel brands to Japan ahead of the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
The hotel company signed a management agreement with Tokyo Bay Resort Development for a new Hyatt Place hotel near Tokyo Disney Resort in Chiba.
“This opening will mark a very important milestone for Hyatt’s brand growth strategy as the company expands its portfolio in key locations within the country to increase preference among guests,” said Hirohide Abe, senior vice president for Japan and Micronesia, Hyatt.
The property, expected to open in 2019, will be located in Urayasu City, comprising 365 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a 24-hour fitness centre and extensive meeting and event space.
This development will be in addition to Hyatt’s existing properties in China and Thailand, and the company signed an agreement to bring the concept to South Korea.
