Hotel Lutetia debuts again this spring after a four-year closure. The enhanced property features 184 guestrooms, including seven design-centric suites and a penthouse. Each guestroom boasts its own collection of curated art and photography.
New dining and drinking venues include the Lutetia Brasserie, seating 180; a new courtyard offering light dining off Salon St. Germain; the Jazz Bar Aristide; and a cigar bar.
A 7,500-square-foot spa offers wellness treatments, fitness and a 57-foot indoor pool.
Originally, Hotel Lutetia opened in 1910 and is still the only palace hotel on Paris’ Left Bank, in the bohemian St. Germain neighborhood. In the 1930s, the property was synonymous with the Parisian cultural and artistic scene, hosting famous faces such as James Joyce, Ernest Hemingway and Pablo Picasso.
“Hotel Lutetia is a unique monument to history and culture in a city famed for both qualities,” said Albert Herrera, senior vice president of global product partnerships, Virtuoso. “The extensive refurbishment of this beautiful legend will enhance its spirit and charm, and usher it into a new era of serving 21st-century travelers while remaining true to the authentic soul of the Left Bank. Even in a city with many wonderful luxury hotel options, Hotel Lutetia’s elegant blend of heritage and modernity will make it a true standout.”
Virtuoso guests benefit from several perks at the property, including guaranteed upgrades, early check-in and late check-out, a $120 hotel credit, daily breakfast for two, return transfer and welcome amenities.

Mar 28, 2024Cruise Lines Elevate the Onboard Fine-Dining Experience
It’s been a long time since the food on cruise ships resembled the bland, uninspired fare that gave onboard dining a bad name. These days, cruise passengers can look forward to menus created by Michelin-starred chefs made with top-quality ingredients served in stunning spaces. Choices abound as well. In addition to elegant main dining rooms, cruise ships have created a huge array of specialty restaurants that focus not only on perfectly executed traditional European and North American dishes but flavors and experiences from around the globe as well. In fact, meals served aboard cruise vessels have gotten so good, they’re drawing passengers onto ships: According to a recent report by luxury travel planning network Virtuoso, advisors report after Europe (specifically Italy and France), the No. 2 dining destination for travelers is aboard an ocean or river cruise. “This shows how cruise lines have really stepped up their culinary game, with consulting chefs and new restaurants and making that a focal point,” said Misty Belles, vice president, Global Public Relations, Virtuoso.
