EVA Air upgraded its Royal Laurel business-class cabins in conjunction with earning SKYTRAX’s 5-star rating. The new cabin includes extra amenities and perks during check-in and boarding. Now, all Royal Laurel, Premium Laurel and business-class passengers receive cold-pressed pineapple juice upon boarding. On long-haul flights, Godiva chocolates accompany the juice. Attendants are newly trained to offer sommelier-style service during flight, as they present wine labels and describe the varieties’ qualities before pouring. On the ground, electronic maps are added to check-in counters to lead guests to VIP lounges and departure gates. During busy times, EVA staff is located around the airport to assist passengers in finding their correct gate. Currently, EVA Air flies to 60 international destinations and just announced a new gateway in Chicago (ORD), coming Nov. 3.
