According to the Associated Press, while the jatropha tree is not as widely discussed as other alternative fuels, such as corn-based ethanol, the industry is spending money on developing the leafy tree and its green pods into a viable biofuel. Approvals For Lufthansa/Brussels Partnership

The European Commission granted Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines approval for a partnership between the two airlines. Lufthansa will acquire a 45 percent stake in Brussels Airlines’ parent company, SN Airholding SA/NV. Read more »

Retirement Age Reevaluated

In light of the recent pilot death onboard a Continental Airlines trans-Atlantic flight, there’s new interest in reevaluating the 2007 U.S. regulation that increased the pilot retirement age from 60 to 65.
