Delta Drops Ticket Fee

Apr 29, 2016
Daily

Passengers flying on Delta Air Lines will no longer be charged for purchasing their ticket on the phone or at the airport. Previously, customers were charged $25 for tickets purchased over the phone and $35 for tickets purchased at the airport. The dropped fees mean phone and in-person ticket purchases are just as affordable as those made online or on the Fly Delta app.

“This — and every decision we make — is based on engaging with our customers and employees every day. By listening, caring and connecting with our customers, we have their backs every time they fly with us,” said Charisse Evans, vice president, reservations sales and customer care, Delta Air Lines. “I am extremely proud of our dedicated colleagues who, along with the support of nearly 80,000 Delta employees worldwide, continue to raise the bar by exceeding our customers’ expectations.”

The new fee waiver, however, is not an international one, and some European destinations will still be charged the purchase fee.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
