British Airways will strengthen its presence in Poland with new non-stop service between London (LHR) and Krakow (KRK), its second destination in the country, joining Warsaw (WAW). The carrier will offer the route four times per week from May 2015 with a combination of Airbus A319 and 320 aircraft equipped with a two-class configuration. British Airways currently operates double-daily service to the Polish capital of Warsaw.

“We have a long history of flying to Poland and opening a route to the country’s second city now offers far greater choice for customers. With a sizeable Polish community in London, we know the route will be popular with Poles visiting friends and relatives. It will also serve our business travelers well as Krakow is an important economic hub which has seen significant U.K. investment and trade,” said Neil Cottrell, head of planning, British Airways. “We also expect the route to be very attractive to tourists who will be keen to explore this fascinating city.”
