A few weekends ago, my husband, sister-in-law and her husband spent the weekend at a relative’s house in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. The weather wasn’t ideal for the beach, so we decided to spend some time visiting the local wineries.
Our first stop was Hawk Haven Vineyard & Winery for a tasting and snack. We all enjoyed the winery’s Riesling and each grabbed a glass while we enjoyed some snacks on the back patio. Next we made our way to Cape May Brewing Company. It was a bit rainy, so we grabbed some beers and sat on the covered patio. To take a break, we went to Beach Plum Farm for lunch. The charming market serves food from 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
Our final stop for the day was Cape May Winery & Vineyard. None of us had ever visited before, so we were interested to taste the wines. We each did a tasting of three different ones. Since we were eating our way across the state, we ordered a few snacks from the kitchen before we departed.
Each stop on our unofficial beer and wine tour offered plenty of tasty food and delightful drinks. Add these spots to your list for your next visit to South Jersey.
