A Few Days in Tegernsee: Germany Part 2
In my last blog, I wrote about my flight to Germany on Condor Airlines’ business class, and now it’s time to get into a full recap of my trip — starting in Tegernsee.
A Busy Chicago Weekend
My last few days were spent at a play, a children's birthday party and a college softball game. Although it was busy, it was a lot of fun.

Spring at Last
With the rain came the flowers, but what a lovely transition either way!
Museums of Dublin
I finally have some exciting travel to talk about — I just returned from joining my parents to visit my sister in Ireland, where she is finishing up her study abroad semester at Dublin City University. There’s so much to share from the eight-day trip that I’m going to spread it out over several blog posts. For this first blog post, I’ll focus on the museums we went to in Dublin and save other aspects of the city and our time in Galway for the coming weeks.
Sunny Sunday
The weather this weekend was beautiful, so my husband and I decided to take advantage of the sun with a walk around the nearby Cooper River.
The Skytanic Is Coming!
Colorado-based energy company Radia revealed plans for the world’s largest airplane. Measuring 356 feet long and 79 feet tall, with a wingspan of 261 feet and a load capacity of 80 tons, cargo plane WindRunner will only require a runway as short as 6,000 feet. Nicknamed Skytanic, WindRunner is expected to be in operation in 2027.
Wines and Dines
I recently joined my Global Traveler colleagues in New York for GT's annual Wines on the Wing event. In addition to a successful event, I enjoyed a lot of wonderful food.
Decades of New York
It had been 10 years since I’d been to New York on business and 20 years since I’d been there for pleasure. And, dare I say, more than 30 years since my first visit to the Big Apple.

Although a destination’s terrain, cuisine and cultural attributes always draw travelers in, it is often the people they meet that make the trip an enduring memory rather than a box to be checked off. It’s a job responsibility that people working around the Plose and adjoining town of Brixen (in Italy’s Trentino-Alto Adige region) take seriously. This is even more true for five women dedicated to introducing visitors to new aspects of the time-honored ski, leisure and hiking mountain destination in the Dolomites.
