My travel over the past weekend found me at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This bustling international hub was the winner of our 2015 GT Tested Reader Survey award for Best Airport Dining, and I was honored to present that award to Chilly Ewing at our ceremony at The Peninsula Beverly Hills last December. I was excited that Hartsfield-Jackson just happened to be part of my busy itinerary, as the airport is continuously adding new improvements to help travelers go about their business as efficiently and enjoyably as possible. One new upgrade that I noticed and personally loved was the addition of these hands-free, automatic bottle fillers. 
As the travel industry moves towards more sustainable and green travel options, it’s nice to see that the busiest airport in the world is incorporating small changes like this that can make a big difference. In fact, Hartsfield-Jackson just recently announced that they’re the first airport in the United States to achieve ISO 50001:2001 accreditation, meaning that they’ve put in a large amount of time and effort to develop an effective energy savings program. The next time you fly out of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, take a moment to appreciate the efforts being made to make international travel a more eco-friendly pleasure. — Francis X.
