It’s a busy time of year for Global Traveler; our upcoming February issue celebrates the 11th anniversary of the magazine, and in March we recap the 2014 GT Tested Reader Survey awards. Last week, many of our staff attended The New York Times Travel Show. It is always nice to see some of our partners and friends from around the country and the world a bit closer to home. 
As I write this, I am sitting patiently at Newark Liberty International Airport for my flight to Los Angeles International Airport. David Katz and I are visiting our colleague Carly Allen for a few days of meetings. Our flight is just in time to avoid a major Northeast snowstorm, though my bad luck with West Coast weather appears to be continuing as rain is once again in the forecast for my visit.
