A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to see the musical Annie at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. As a gift to my niece, I thought the classic show would be something a 7-year old would definitely enjoy, and I was correct. The show was wonderful and my niece and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. Lucky for us, I was able to purchase front row tickets, making for a lovely view. In comparison to front row tickets to a Broadway show in New York City, tickets prices were quite reasonable in Philadelphia. I was impressed by the acting and overall entertaining skills of the all of the performers in the musical. I must admit I used to believe the “true” Broadway shows are the ones in New York, but I can now say the Philadelphia shows are of no less quality than the performances I have seen in New York. This was confirmed in January, after I saw Motown: The Musical at the Kimmel Center. The show played in New York for a long time, but tickets were too pricey at the time I wanted to buy. I was thrilled when I heard the show was coming to Philadelphia and fortunate to purchase tickets. I was very pleased with my experiences at the Kimmel Center and will definitely look into buying tickets for more shows. Next on the list: The Lion King! — Olivia Falcione, advertising manager
