Autograph Collection Hotels is Marriott’s array of 93 international independent hotels. Recently, the brand picked up three new properties, including The Envoy in Boston, Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook in Birmingham and The Citizen Hotel in Sacramento.

The Envoy is a newer construction in the Innovation District. The property contains 136 rooms featuring artisan décor and views of the waterfront and city. The hotel blends new and old seamlessly, from their reclaimed wooden accents in each room to the classic billiards table repurposed into touch-screen computers in the common workspace. The property offers two great dining experiences — the Lookout Rooftop Bar and the Outlook Kitchen, where guests will find The Envoy’s specially designed house brew and seasonal cuisine.

Birmingham’s Grand Bohemian Hotel Mountain Brook is a 100-room boutique property. The Grand Bohemian Art Gallery boasts artwork from local, regional and international artists and the onsite Kessler Cooking School offers interactive workshops. Guests can also choose to visit the Poseidon Spa, rooftop restaurant or one of the wine blending sessions led by expert sommeliers.

The Citizen is located within Sacramento’s California Life Insurance Building, which has a history dating back to 1925. Each guestroom is different, offering varying views of downtown Sacramento from the city’s very first skyscraper. The property offers 9,000 square feet of event space, including a 3,000 square-foot rooftop venue, perfect for meetings and special occasions.
