American Express plans a 2019 opening for its 12th Centurion Lounge location. The Los Angeles outpost spans 13,900 square feet, with locally inspired amenities, including a spa, family room and visual wall installations. The lounge is planned for Tom Bradley International Terminal and accessible to Terminals 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.
The enhanced tranquility area is a new feature for Centurion lounges. It includes quiet areas with different lighting options to help travelers adjust to new time zones. Beyond the spa and family room, other spaces include enhanced workspaces, noise-buffering work stations and premium restrooms and showers. Luxury dining is available via the complimentary chef-crafted menus, with premium wines and specialty cocktails.
“On the heels of announcements that we will be bringing new Centurion Lounges to New York and Denver, we are thrilled to open our next lounge in Los Angeles, the No. 2 U.S. airport our Platinum Card members travel through,” said Josh McKay, vice president and general manager, global benefits and services, American Express. “Our Platinum Card members regularly travel for work and fun, so we’re excited to soon offer our Platinum Card members a place to relax, reboot and refresh in the busiest terminal at LAX.”

Access to The Centurion Lounge is complimentary and exclusive to Platinum Card members and Centurion members. Platinum Card members may bring two travel companions at no charge. Centurion members may enter with immediate family or two travel companions. Cardholders may purchase access for additional guests for $50 per guest.
