In response to high demand, American Airlines will offer West Coast travelers a new direct connection to the Caribbean with plans to launch service to Jamaica in December.

“We are pleased that American Airlines has chosen to expand their service to Montego Bay with this new nonstop service” said Paul Pennicook, director of tourism for Jamaica.  “California is a notable market for Jamaica and the addition of this flight will increase the destination’s convenience to West Coast travelers. We’re delighted to work with American Airlines to help travelers discover Jamaica’s beautiful attractions and outstanding hospitality.”

From Dec. 18, the world’s largest airline will offer non-stop flights from Los Angeles International Airport to Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay twice per week, on Fridays and Saturdays. The new route will operate with 160-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft, equipped with 16 seats in first class.
