American Airlines resumed its seasonal services between Edinburgh (EDI), Glasgow (GLA) and the U.S. East Coast. And it will do so with a newly minted business-class cabin.

As of March 26, the airline’s Edinburgh–New York (JFK) service features 16 fully lie-flat business-class seats in a 2-2 configuration operated by a Boeing 757-200. Passengers are offered a personal Samsung Galaxy tablet with new movies, TV shows, games, music and book excerpts. They also have access to premium cabin menus designed in partnership with Michelin-starred chef Mark Sargeant and U.S. television personality Maneet Chauhan.

“The introduction of the new Business Class cabin is a testament to American’s ongoing $3 billion investment into all aspects of the customer experience and our commitment to the Scottish market,” said Mark Danis, UK corporate sales manager, American Airlines. “From both Edinburgh and Glasgow, customers have access to two iconic American cities and an extensive onward network throughout the U.S, Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America.”

The economy class has some updates, too; it now features 160 seats in total, 52 of which are marked under Main Cabin Extra seating, which offers up to seven inches of extra space.

And starting May 6, the airline will also restart its seasonal services from Glasgow to Philadelphia International Airport, also operated by a 757-200 aircraft.
