Alitalia added a new lounge at Pier E in Rome Fiumicino Airport. Casa Alitalia replaces the company’s former lounge in the old Pier H area. After the opening of Pier E in 2016, Alitalia moved most of its flights into the new facility.
Pier E is now the home of “most of Alitalia’s medium- and long-haul flights to extra-Schengen destinations.” The carrier said the new lounge will “improve service to passengers and make boarding operations more efficient.”
The new space includes features a live cooking area, bars, business meeting rooms, showers, WiFi connectivity and a children’s area.
The lounge’s access is reserved for members of Alitalia Freccia Alata Plus, Freccia Alata, SkyTeam Elite Plus Clubs, Alitalia Magnifica and medium-haul business-class ticket holders and Alitalia American Express Platinum cardholders flying with Alitalia. Other customers can buy single-entry access.
